Welcome, darling. This is not your typical journaling guide.
This is an invitation. A love letter. A reawakening.
Welcome to Touchpoints, a seven-day journey into the landscape of your own skin. This guide is in honor of Masturbation May and the companion to my previous article. If you haven’t read it yet, you can find it here.
Let me start by saying right off the bat, this is not a cleanse. Not a fix. Not a performance of self-care. This is a reclamation. A return.
Touchpoints is a sensual somatic guide—a blend of journaling, embodied movement, intentional touch, and emotional excavation—designed to help you reconnect with your body in a deeply intimate, nourishing way. Each day explores a different layer of sensual self-awareness, guiding you to listen, explore, and play in the sanctuary of your skin.
Whether you’re coming back to your body after trauma, disconnection, sexual numbness, or simply too many days spent on autopilot—this guide meets you where you are.
What You’ll Need:
A journal and pen
A quiet space (even 10 minutes will do)
Optional: mirror, candle, massage oil, blanket, sensual playlist, and tissues (tears or lube—both welcome)
Each day includes:
A core theme
Journaling prompt(s)
Embodiment or sensory ritual
A goal for reflection or integration
✧ DAY ONE: The First Touch
Theme: Awareness & Arrival
Intention: To reconnect with your body through breath and observation
Overview:
This day is about coming home to your body. No pressure. No judgment. Just gentle awareness. How are you feeling? What’s calling for your attention? Where are you numb? Where are you tender?
Journal Prompt:
Where in my body do I feel the most sensation right now?
Where do I feel nothing at all?
What does my body want me to notice today?
Wellness Ritual:
Lie down and place one hand on your chest, the other on your belly. Feel your breath. Close your eyes and scan your body from crown to toes. Silently greet each area: “Hello, knees.” “Hello, throat.”
Do this slowly. Breathe between each greeting.
Goal:
Cultivate presence. By the end of today, you should feel more aware of how your body is doing—without fixing or changing it. Just witnessing.
✧ DAY TWO: Pleasure Mapping
Theme: Sensation & Curiosity
Intention: To explore sensual (not just sexual) pleasure in the body
Overview:
Today we explore what feels good. Not orgasmic, necessarily—but warm, tingly, relaxed. Your skin is alive with nerve endings that crave attention. This is about play.
Journal Prompt:
What five places on my body enjoy touch? What kind of touch do they like?
Are there any unexpected pleasure zones I’ve overlooked?
How has my idea of pleasure changed over time?
Wellness Ritual:
Try a 5-minute “touch meditation.” Use your fingers, a feather, or fabric. Lightly stroke different areas—collarbone, thighs, scalp, fingertips. Don’t rush. Let pleasure arise without agenda.
Goal:
Expand your definition of pleasure. Sensuality isn’t just sexual—it’s a full-body love affair with being. You should walk away today knowing at least one new place on your body that enjoys attention.
✧ DAY THREE: Erotic Memory
Theme: Desire & Imagination
Intention: To awaken erotic energy by recalling and reclaiming past pleasure
Overview:
Desire is a powerful force—creative, chaotic, healing. Today you’ll remember a moment where you felt turned on, deeply desired, or fully in your erotic power. It could be real or imagined.
Journal Prompt:
Describe a moment you felt intensely desired or powerful in your erotic self.
What textures, sounds, emotions were present?
What did that moment teach you about your own turn-ons?
Wellness Ritual:
Light a candle. Put on a sexy song. Slowly sway or stretch. Let your body move in response to memory. You don’t need to climax—just activate. Let the arousal hum.
Goal:
Reignite connection to your erotic energy without shame. See desire as creative energy, not something you owe or perform. Erotic power is yours to keep.
✧ DAY FOUR: The Shadows
Theme: Shame & Liberation
Intention: To identify, feel, and begin to release shame or trauma stored in the body
Overview:
This is the brave day. We look at what we’ve been taught to hide—about our bodies, pleasure, sex. No self-flagellation. No blame. Just space to tell the truth.
Journal Prompt:
What were the first messages I received about masturbation or sexuality?
What parts of my body have I been taught to hide or criticize?
What would it feel like to rewrite those messages?
Wellness Ritual:
Wrap yourself in a blanket or robe. Light a candle or play a grounding track. Place your hand on your heart or inner thigh and say aloud:
"I am allowed to feel pleasure. My body is not shameful. I forgive myself for believing otherwise."
Goal:
Begin the process of emotional unbinding. Shame lives in silence. Writing it, witnessing it, and voicing new truths will start to undo its grip.
✧ DAY FIVE: Body Worship
Theme: Gratitude & Reverence
Intention: To offer tenderness to the parts of your body you struggle to love
Overview:
This is your love letter day. You will choose one part of your body—maybe one you criticize or ignore—and write it a thank-you note. You’ll see what happens when appreciation replaces critique.
Journal Prompt:
Dear [body part], thank you for…
I’m sorry for…
From now on, I promise to…
Wellness Ritual:
Massage that body part slowly with oil. Look at it with curiosity. Speak to it. Touch it like it’s sacred. Because it is.
Goal:
Shift your relationship with a specific part of your body. Move from judgment to intimacy. Experience what it means to worship your own skin.
✧ DAY SIX: Mirror, Mirror
Theme: Visibility & Confidence
Intention: To witness your own sensuality, without shrinking
Overview:
Visibility—especially naked visibility—can feel radical. But it’s healing. Today, you look at your body not through critique, but reverent attention. You’re allowed to be seen. Especially by yourself.
Journal Prompt:
What do I notice first when I see myself?
What surprised me about my reflection?
What did I want to hide… and what did I want to show?
Wellness Ritual:
Stand nude or semi-nude before a mirror. Light a candle. Gaze at yourself softly. Trace your silhouette with your eyes. Touch what you see.
Take a self-portrait (clothed or not) that makes you feel sensual, strong, or seen.
Goal:
Create a moment of embodied self-recognition. You are not a project. You are not a before/after. You are a work of art already in motion.
✧ DAY SEVEN: Sacred Seduction
Theme: Integration & Celebration
Intention: To create a sensual ritual that honors your body as sacred
Overview:
This is your ceremony. A culmination of everything you’ve discovered. Today, you craft your ideal self-pleasure ritual—from mood to movement—and live it out.
Journal Prompt:
What does my body love most now?
What would my ideal solo pleasure ritual look like—from lighting to touch to affirmations?
What do I want to carry forward from this week?
Wellness Ritual:
Create your ritual. Set the mood (music, oils, lingerie, toys—whatever calls to you). Touch slowly. Speak kindly. Let pleasure be the language of celebration.
Goal:
Close the week with embodied reverence. Let your pleasure become a daily practice—not a reward, but a ritual of presence.
Final Reflection: The Body as Oracle, The Self as Sacred
If you’ve made it through all seven days of Touchpoints, I want to tell you something that perhaps no one has ever said to you outright:
I’m proud of you.
Whether you journaled through tears, moaned into a pillow, stared at your thighs in the mirror, or touched your belly like it was a lover you’re still learning to trust again—you did something extraordinary. You came home to yourself.
This guide wasn’t just about masturbation or self-pleasure, although yes, those are powerful acts. It was about embodiment—about waking up to the reality that your body is not a machine, not a to-do list, not a thing to conquer or shrink or shame into silence. Your body is a living, sensual, feeling part of you. And when you listen to it—not just when it’s screaming in pain, but when it’s whispering with desire—your entire life begins to shift.
For me, embodiment has been a lifelong reclamation. I spent years living in my head—performing, producing, perfecting. I could talk about bodies, teach about pleasure, write essays on intimacy… and still feel disconnected from my own skin. It wasn’t until I slowed down, touched myself with reverence, breathed into my hips, and asked my body—not my brain—what it needed, that things began to change.
Touch is powerful. Attention is transformative. But when you give both to yourself? That’s liberation.
Through practices like these—journaling, mirror work, sensual movement, self-pleasure—I’ve begun to see my body as an ally, not an adversary. I’ve made peace with stretch marks that tell stories. With softness that holds life. With the aching parts that once only flinched under judgment, but now lean into love.
And that love? It’s erotic. Erotic not just in the orgasmic sense, but in the sense Audre Lorde wrote about—the erotic as power. As life force. As a way of feeling deeply, truly alive.
Because here’s the truth no one tells us growing up:
Sexual self-connection isn’t extra. It’s foundational.
When you understand your own arousal, you become harder to manipulate.
When you know what brings your body joy, you’re less likely to accept less than you deserve.
When you own your sensuality, you don’t wait for someone else to give you permission. You become the source.
Pleasure isn't a luxury. It's a compass.
It points you back to your worth. To your aliveness. To your truth.
So whether you came to this guide feeling disconnected, numb, curious, or craving a deeper intimacy with yourself, I hope what you walk away with is this:
✨ That your body is not something to be earned—it's already yours.
✨ That self-pleasure is not selfish—it's sacred.
✨ That you are not too much, not too late, and never wrong for wanting more.
I hope this guide becomes a ritual you return to—not because you “need fixing,” but because you deserve remembering.
Let this be the beginning of your next love story—with yourself
